Window to Spring
@
Oneday I arrived at a quiet, cold and gloomy town and I decided to stay.
Just then an old man, unknown to me came up to me.
"Hey, stranger. " The old man said to me. "Why would you want to live here; I mean, it's cold, quiet, and there is little sunshine. It is so boring that all travelers just pass through without staying."
"Well, I'm not bored yet, because I don't even know much about this place." I answered.
"Hmm...You're a strange man." He shook his head and mumbled; "So you might find that window..."
"What window?" I asked with curiosity.
"You should not expect, expectation will bring you boredom."
He said and walked away.

In time I came to forget what the old man had said. I found a nice cozy little apartment in the town.
There was a big window in my small room through which I could look outside. I liked the view of the bare trees. Those trees patiently stood up against the cold wind and the frost covered the ground as if coated thinly with sugar.
One afternoon, some fresh green leaves suddenly drifted into the room through a small gap in the window.
"Oh, where did you come from? All the trees must be bare..." I asked them.
But the leaves fluttered silently in the room then returned back outside.
"Wait!" I chased after them and looked out of the window.

I was surprised by the moment. I could hardly believe what was happening, my face was hit with the brilliance of the hot bright colors. I instantly closed my eyes.
As I timidly opened my eyes again, I cried.
"Wow, What a marvelous view ... I have never seen such strange colorful flowers."
Below, the town radiated Spring, surrounded by thousands of beautiful flowering plants, as if it floated upon a carpet of petals.
" It can't be real, it must be a dream..." I muttered to myself. "Then Why can I not enjoy it?"
I climbed down the ladder and dove into the spring field.
Then I discovered that this was not a dream.
Because I could surely feel the soft pleasant touch of the  petals, the sweet scent of bright lights, and the rhythm of lively colors.

After I had enjoyed strolling around the town in Spring, I climbed up the ladder back into my room.
Since that time, I go back to that amazing place once in a while.
When I once again came upon the old man on the street, I told him what I experienced.
Then why did you come back here from such a joyful paradise?" asked the old man.
I smiled at him; "I was not sure, but I feel I can return whenever I want. If I stay here, another miracle window might be found, right?"
"Ha, ha, ha." The old man laughed cheerfully.      "You're  a really funny young man."
He then walked away to  some other part of that cold, quiet, and gloomy town.
